Geography
Nepal is a land locked country. The Northen range (Himilayas) is covered with snow over the year. The middle range (Hill) is captured by gorgeous mountains, high peaks, hills, valleys and lakes. Southern range (Terai) is the gigantic plain and consists of dense forest, national parks, wildlife reserves and conservation areas. In the geographic diversity and varied climate conditions more than 60 ethnic groups are accommodates 7%, 44% and 49% of the population respectively. Based on area of districts these regions constitute 35%, 42% and 23% of the total land area. There are 5 development regions and 75 administrative districts. Nepal presents and example of being united in diversity and has maintained its pride as being an independent sovereign state.
Culture
Nepalese practice several cultural activities of various religions which include Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, etc. Nepal is a secular state but most of the people of Nepal are Hindu and they celebrate several festival where Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Lhosar, Id, Christmas day etc are some of the nationally celebrated festivals.
Pride
Nepal has global pride of being the home of Gautam Buddha, founder of Buddhism, brave Gurkhas and Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world. Nepal is also an attractive advature destination for the activities like rafting, bungee jumping, paragliding, etc. Nepal has widespread caste and culture but stands unified in cultural diversity. There are two distinct groups namely Indo-Aryans and Mongolians.

Nepal is a member of the United Nations and has established diplomatic relation with 113 countries of the world. Nepal is also a member of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation) whose secretariat is in Kathmandu.
